We are excited to announce the latest publication of AEOLUS on waveguide integrated graphene-based light emitters, showcasing significant advancements in using graphene for thermal light emission. Their research demonstrates how driving a current through graphene produces a compact, efficient thermal emitter, focusing initially on mid-infrared (mid-IR) sensing for environmental monitoring, industrial control, and medical diagnostics. This breakthrough technology, part of the H2020 AEOLUS Project coordinated by ICCS, promises broad applications in telecommunications, imaging, and beyond.
